(NEW YORK)--AppSwarm, Corp. (OTC: SWRM) announces plans to sign-up their first 5-10 cannabis dispensaries to their new mobile delivery platform 'Delivery Swift' before the end of the year.
The company announced they were already in talks with several Cannabis dispensaries, and are working towards signing-up their first 5-10 dispensaries before years end. Having a keen focus on the rapidly growing Cannabis dispensary market, DeliverySwift will also expand its focus on traditional products in the grocery, small retail, pharmacy, pet supply as well as many other smaller retailers needing to get their product to a consumer’s door.
The Company further announces plans to expand their last-mile delivery platform DeliverySwift for small retail stores, grocery, pharmacies and pet stores.
Grocery Delivery Market
The Food Marketing Institute estimates online grocery sales will reach sales of $100 billion by 2025, or about 20% of the grocery retail market, though today only about 2% to 4.3% of industry sales originate online.
In September, Walmart announced a new last-mile delivery pilot program, called Spark Delivery, which focuses on fulfilling customers’ online grocery orders. The retailer is working with delivery logistics platform Bringg, a company that offers an Uber-like or Amazon-like level of visibility to retailers’ delivery operations.
DeliverySwift will work on adding the smaller mom and pop groceries who cater to specific areas and thus already have established a brand and business relationships with their local customers. DeliverySwift will provide a platform to assist busy families seeking to take care of their weekly grocery shopping, or just the individual who just needs bread and milk for the fridge.
Delivery Swift will also help smaller mom and pop stores better compete with Amazon, Walmart and big-box online stores in the sale of pharmaceuticals and other in-store items.
Along with groceries, pet supplies could be another attractive target that DeliverySwift could provide a solution for. Anyone with a cat or dog knows carrying cat litter or large bags of dog food could be very heavy for a person on the go. DeliverySwift Pet operations will work to deliver pet supplies to your door to make sure you have all you need for that special household friend.
Delivery Swift joins other mobile last mile delivery services such as GrubHub, Seamless, Instacart, Uber Eats, and Bringg. With many of these well established delivery platforms trading at valuations of several billion dollars, Delivery Swift looks to be a highly undervalued play at just $2 million market cap.
