(SEATTLE)–There’s been a flood of new SPAC stocks on the market in the past few weeks, and we have highlighted three that we feel are worth looking over.
Special Purpose Acquisition Corporations, or what many call SPAC’s, have become a very popular trading vehicle for investors in 2020. SPAC mergers also offer the quickest method for companies looking to raise large sums of capital and go public at the same time.
In this unpredictable “new normal” economic climate, SPACs are looking like a great way to get into companies before the ground floor. There’s also quite a bit of risk depending on the skill and experience of the management team, prior performance, target companies reversing course and backing out, etc. so we’ve narrowed it down for our SPAC subscribers to 3 that we like as solid investment opportunities.
1) Graf Industrial Corp (NYSE:GRAF)
Firstly we have GRAF. With plans to merge with Velodyne by the end of this month, GRAF has seen a rapidly increasing interest (and market value) in recent weeks. LiDAR being the focus of this company, and self-driving vehicles being a high-growth market make this one a top pick.
2) Flying Eagle Acquisition Corp (NYSE:FEAC)
Second is FEAC. For those in the know this is another SPAC from the guys that brought us DKNG. And everyone knows how well that one did. This time they just announced plans to merge with a company in the gaming sector. Calling it “The First Mobile Esports Platform to Go Public” Skillz is a hot property. We see strong growth potential in this one, as well.
3) HL Acquisitions Corp (NASDAQ:HCCH)
And finally, on the more speculative side, is HCCH, which has plans to merge with a European hydrogen fuel cell company. It may take a while longer to show returns, but we like where it’s going. Fusion Fuel Green LTD. has what appears to be very exciting new technology, but they still need to prove its marketable and viable. Regardless, alternative energy investments around the globe are booming.
Take a look at these plays and tell us what you think.
